Things you need to know about NRA - National Recruitment Agency of India


 NRA abbrevated as National Recruitment Agency is going to be established soon in next year. This is the agency which is responsible for conducting exam Common Eligibility Test (CET). This test is to be considered as an shortlisting test for the vacancies in Non-Technical and Non-Gazzeted posts of Indian public sector units. Initially the marks will be considered by 3 PSU's of India namely

1. Short Service Commission (SSC)

2. Railway Recruitment Board (RRB)

3. Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS).

and soon most of the PSU's going to adopt this test. This test is to be conducted in Online and the examination centers will be at almost every districts of India. Exam Center infra structure will be developed first at 117 aspirational districts and it will be elaborated to all districts. This test will be conducted twice a year and one can attempt 'n' number of times within the age limit (Caste based age relaxation is applicable). The scores obtained is valid for 3 years from the date of announcement of results. When one attempt many times, the highest score obtained throughout all the tests will be taken as the final score. The CET will be based on the person's educational qualification. It is of 3 types

For Graduates

For Higher Secondary - 12th Passed

For Matriculation - 10th Passed.

Union Cabinet gave approval for this project at 19th August'20 with a sum of 1517.57 Crores. Goverment expects to save 600 Crores by conducting this CET , instead of many exams.
